I'm a mechanical engineering student at the University of Iowa focused on robotics and automation, currently interning at Schneider Electric. I like problems I can get my hands on: writing a Python script to pull data out of a stack of PDF test reports, 3D-printing a fixture that finally makes a measurement repeatable, or figuring out why a machine is throwing bad parts.
Outside of coursework, I'm bilingual in Arabic and English, mentor first-generation engineering students through the National Society of Black Engineers, and tutor English in my community. I'm looking for full-time engineering roles where I can keep working hands-on with real hardware, whether that's testing and automating equipment or designing the components themselves.
